Yes.. It is True...A free iPod, this is a $200 digital music player that works with either mac or pc. "O.K. what's the catch?" i said when my roomate jeff approached me about it. "you just sign up and complete just one of the offers. a trial blockbuster.com membership or sign up for a credit card (GM card that gives you %5 toward a new vehicle) or try some weightloss drug. and then you just need to sign up 5 more people." i was still skeptical and thought its a scam a marketing ploy to get money they don't just give stuff away like that. what is the catch? so I never signed up. and now about a month or so later he shows me his brand new 20gig iPod and all he ended up paying was like $5 shipping for some trial product. Wow it actually worked. So now i am am going to try.
of course i used my "spam" e-mail account. if you want to check out the sight here is the link: www.freeiPods.com/?r=13469248

I'm sorry the person You are trying to reach has been temporarily disconnected...
well a couple of weeks ago I lost my cell phone, having no "land-line" there is only three ways to contact me: e-mail, "snail mail", or just drop by. This at first created some what of a paradox...I fell this sort of freedom, not having to be constantly "connected' yet a bit of Anxiety also, what if there is an emergancy, really great news (like some one getting engaged), what if they need me to cover a shift at work...thats when it hit me. This is in a small way an asocial rebellion against this age of the internet and consistant connection. society always has to be "on". The cord has been cut. I am free from the control of a wireless wired society. But occationaly, I still feel need to "reach out a touch someone" and regardles if I use the phone or not I still have to pay the bill...
